Fall ....

Hi All ...

One fall day, I was walking alone on the street and suddenly, a tree with all its leaves - yellow, caught my eyes. A thought came in mind. That tree is a juvenile, wearing gold ornaments, waiting for her first love to come… His footfall will appear riding on the driving wind and in her wild thoughts, she will forget about her ornaments – falling down… And … her snow-lover will arrive one day to embrace her transforming her milieu into different colors…

Fears.....Risks

Hi all...

Have you ever thought of doing bungee jumping, paragliding, and river rafting...? Yah... I know you must have thought it some time ago, when you were young ... but now if you will go there ... you will hesitate to do so ... you will have some doubt in your mind that should I or not to do it....

It’s like; we have less thoughts and worries when we are young. We will not think, if we want to do something then we will just do it. But after some time we start thinking about any consequences that will happen after doing such thing… Sometimes I feel it is better that we think… but in the mean time we are missing some of the great moments of the life.

If you don’t want to experience it right now just go and watch Yes Man; a good movie of Jim Carry. I am not going to tell you what is there in the movie but you will definitely love it and it will help you to change the perspective of your life … (oh it’s a pretty hard statement … perspective of life … ha ha) … just take it as a new thought and go with it. Just live your life fully and don’t try to over-think …

I am giving you advice of not to over-think, so I am not going to think on this topic more … and will give you lead to Do the thing … not just think … (that’s good).

Till then Good bye, Namaste, Shabba Khair, Angyoung, sayo - nara, Zai jian, Auf widerzehen … (oh I am terrible in spellings).

Chop-stick

Hi all ...

It's on last Wednesday... one of my dreamz came true ... I can hold a thing in chopstick. Yah and I have received those chopsticks you can see in snap as a prize because our group won the chopstick competition ...

Thanks to our instructor Hyo-sil that we could make it so early ... Let me enlighten you about the grail of the holding and eating with the chopsticks. Yah I am writing with the help of PPT made by Hyo-sil ... so credit goes to her ...

So first step is to hold one chopstick tight in between the second joint of your thumb and your ring finger ... you can see that in snap...

Second step is to hold the second stick in between your thumb, index finger and
middle finger just like you hold your pen ... Its kinda hard step .. but with practice you can do it ...

OK ... now will move on to opening and closing the chopsticks ...
If you got first 2 steps right ... these are really the piece of cake ...To open it just move your middle finger up and to close it move your middle finger down ...
I will suggest you, to do it with your friend.
If you don't get any chopsticks you can try it with your pen or pencil. [Let me tell you, if you are doing it with your friend, you can hold eraser in your pencils and give it to your friend ... you can poke them and pull their nose with your stick... it is really fun ... ]

And one more thing... try doing it with the song " I don't know the love yet!" from Korean movie "My Little Bride" i.e. 어린 신부 ( for you who can read Korean ha ha...) Oh... you can also try
Nobody (by Wondergirls). Its also Korean and its favourite song of our instructor...
Let's end it here ... I promise you I will try hard to post the next one soon ...
Till then Good bye, Namaste, Shabba Khair, Angyoung, Siyo - nara … (oh I am terrible in spellings).

Attending a seminar about Dance Floor

Hi all ....

After attending several leadership seminars, I was kind of tired of listening same old things … leader should do this that … blah blah … But still I registered for the Dance Floor Theory – The name itself sounded interesting – and after attending it I can tell you this was the best seminar I have attended … really …

Let me ask a simple question to all of you … I know – “We hate questions!” But still be honest, how many of you think that you would like to attend a seminar and do not try to hide the sleep even once in it? Take my words - Dance Floor theory will take you to complete different world. It won’t give you time to think about sleep.

The most interesting part of it was that it was made for Student leaders. The problems students face in their surroundings and ways to resolve that were explained. I am not going to write a review about this seminar but the thing that if you are a current or future leader and if you ever get a chance – do attend it. You will never regret it.

In the seminar, Kevin (presenter) told us what to do and what not to do on the dance floor when you see somebody just sitting and not attending the dance. Let me share the same incident happened with me on the Saturday before the seminar. We had a party called Club NDSU with rocking music and beautiful crowd. But one of my friends was just sitting on the chair and looking at it. I called him once or twice; still he was not ready to come along. I tried to pull him in and threw him in the group and suddenly after 2 – 3 minutes the music seemed to dry up and everybody just left the dance floor and went to chairs.
I didn’t realize what had happened but after attending seminar I came to know the technique to take the person from chair to center of the dance floor is different. Oh I will not explain it here but now onwards I will definitely use it whenever I get a chance.

I don’t know what the word limit for the blog post is but think this is sufficient as this is my first post. I hope we will meet more often now onwards and my writing will improve …

Oh, in addition to that we have also started a Facebook group for our department and hoping participation from all the students. Let’s see how it goes. I will update you on this as time passes.

Till then Good bye, Namaste, Shabba Khair, Angyoung, sayo - nara, zai jian, auf widerzehen … (oh I am terrible in spellings).
