Julie and Juia

Hi all,

Bonjour!

You know I am such a lazy person .... this is work that I like and still I am not doing this ... I don't know ... I should find some more time to meet with you ... I will try ...(Hahaha)

Oh I am thinking I am not even a small kid in this blog world because I saw Julie's blog and she started it in 2002 and I am so late ... though there is saying "better late than never". I will give you link of her blog but first some background story ...

Yesterday (Friday eve) I saw movie Julie and Julia (Dir: Nora Ephron) and it's like my 2 favorite things combining together Movie + Cooking ... oh I just can't resist the combination. So I just went and really it was a good movie. Those who want to see something grand, big action movie or highly emotional drama: don't see it. But if you have liked Nora Ephron's previous movies like Sleepless in Seattle or You've got mail then you will like this movie.

This is not a kind of grand movie but Nora connects two stories Julie's story and her 365 day's project and at the same time Julia's story when she was in Paris and how she got her publisher. It's like she wants to connect these two ladies on some points and she has been successful in that. Nora creates two different worlds 1940's France and 2002's NYC easily and joins them with some fine and some cliched connectors (No offence it's my opinion - yah it's my blog)

Ok so without disclosing anything else I will leave you people to see the movie as that's my preference that prefer to watch a movie that you do not know anything about.

Yup - now as I promised earlier here is the link of her blog: http://blogs.salon.com/0001399/2002/08/25.html and you know what is more delightful is to read the comments. Though those comments are new (after release of movie) but really you will come to know about Julia Child and how she was idol once for all those who loved French cooking in US. But still I will guide you that you watch movie first and then go through blog - comments and if you find read books also.

One thing I am not sure about is why people are fascinated with French culinary cooking (I have never tried a French dish) but still I saw lately many series in Japanese and they were inspired by French cooking and then Ratatouille - one of my favorite, is also made with French cooking and not to forget Paris. I would like to search more about it ...

Oh and I liked soundtrack too ... so I am adding widget from Sony - I hope at least some of you will like it ...

It started with a Song...

First of all sorry for this big break...

Let's not waste more time and start. Some days after writing my last post I was listening bollywood song Peheli nazar me from movie Race and suddenly I saw one video called Sarang Hae Yo and I started it. It was the original track by Kim Hyung-sub from Korean drama Delightful Girl Choon-Hyang (쾌걸 춘향, Kwae-geol Chun-hyang). I read through its all information and got attracted to it. I had watched many Korean movies in winter but had not watched any drama series till that time and finally I started it and really got addicted to it… And as per rules of addiction after finishing that I started next then third one and it’s just time – I have finished my 5^th drama series.

In Korea they have a folk tale of Choon-Huang and they have tried to change the version of that story from old one to 2005 – modern age in this drama. Choon-Huang is a small town girl who accidently marries with a spoiled brat of chief of police. Story continues with their breakup, reunion, realization of love and then enters a boss of big entertainment company who forces Choon-Huang to leave our hero and live secretly. But after some years hero manages to defeat all odds and they live happily ever after. You will think it’s the same old love story – what did you find new in it? Yup though it’s a same old love story, it’s really fresh in terms of actors, treatment, and creations of twists and turns in the story. I am not saying that I got addicted means you all will get it but it is very important to know where to stop and Korean drama creators will get 100 out of 100 for it. They planned their series and with the ratings you can guess that how they kept graph always going high.

Then starts Shining Inheritance (찬란한 유산, Chanranhan Yusan). It’s again a story of girl - Go Eun Sung. Starting from rich family because of some events and her step mother she ends up as a poor but one oppa helps her to set her life and she finds old granny on street. She cares her and it turns out that, the granny is president of big food chain and is sick of her hopeless grandson. So she is searching someone to take her responsibilities after her. Granny decides this will be Eun Sung. Thus her grandson starts hating Eun Sung, but with some twirling they start liking each other. But still there is that wicked stepmother and stepsister – they try hard to separate Eun Sung and grandson. Ha ha ha, every Cinderella story should have happy ending so did this – Eun Sung finally meets her love of life, Grandson and they live happily ever after.

So you must be getting some idea why I did not post for last one month… hahaha … This post is getting so bigggger so I have decided to cut it in 2 parts. Wait for a while for next exciting episode of It started with a song…

मुक्त - चिंतन पण मराठीत

नमस्कार मित्रांनो,

ख़ास लोकाग्रहाकरीता हा लेख मराठी मध्ये लिहितो आहे ...

मराठी मध्ये लिहिनाता बरोबर कळ सापडली नाही म्हणुन चूका झाल्या आहेत तरीही समजुन घ्यावे

तसेही कालच ' मी शिवाजीराजे भोसले बोलतोय ' बघून झालाय... सगळे बसले होते अणि मग चर्चा झाली थोडी फार ... आता मी त्या चित्रपटाची कथा सांगणार नाही माहिती आहे कही उपयोग नाही कारण बहुतेक सगळ्यानी तो माझ्या आधीच बघितला असणार .. पण माला तर तो चित्रपट खटकतो बुवा .. म्हणजे माला एकट्यालाच नाही पण आता जे माझे सवंगडी बसले होते माझ्या बरोबर त्याना पण थोडा फार नाही आवडला .. काय करणार ? आता सगळेच जण मराठी - हो म्हणा आता दूसरा कोण येउन हा चित्रपट पहिल ... बर ते राहू दया ... पण आता इतके चित्रपट येउन गेले पण हा कही त्यातला चांगला प्रयत्न आहे असे मला तरी नाही महानता येणार. कारण मी ' नायक ' पहिला (हिंदी आहे म्हणुन काही लोक माझ्यावर टिका करतील पण तो असाच होता - अन्यायाविरुद्ध बंड करणारा) शिवाजी राजे मध्ये जे दाखवले आहे ते तर आता तो मराठी असो किंवा दूसरा कोणी असो - जर त्याच्याकडे पैसे नसतील तर अशीच वागणूक मिळेल - उलट तो सदारयाच्या दुकानातला माणूस भोसलेंना ओळखतो - आता मला समीक्षक म्हनू नका किंवा टीकाकार ही पण हा जो कही सदरयाचा प्रसंग दाखवला आहे तो थोड्या फार फरकाने ( सदरया ऐवजी अत्तर) इरफान खान बरोबर ( मुंबई मेरी जान - परत हिंदी आला - याला न मराठी चित्रपटाची किंमतच नाही) घडतो.

मराठी अन्यायाबद्दलाच बोलायचे असेल ना तर खरच निशिकांत कामत ला दया (डोंबिवली फास्ट अणि हो मुंबई मेरी जान चा सुद्धा दिग्दर्शक) त्यानी ती चीड बरोबर मांडली आहे ... म्हणजे मी पैसे खात नाही अणि माझी अशी अपेक्षा असते की हे जग (जाऊ दया ना कशाला जगाकडे बघता) पण माझी दुनिया (हिंदी शब्द आला) - माझे घर - कार्यालय ईत्यादी ईत्यादी मध्ये जे लोक माझ्या बरोबर आहेत त्यानी पण जरा नीट वागावे ... माझा तुम्ही पैसे खायला आक्षेप नाही पण माझ्याकडून गैर कम करून घेऊ नये अणि आता असे नाही की साहेब अमराठीच असेल - तो मराठी ही असू शकतो - कारण आपल्याला लहानपण पासून ची शिकवण असते की बेटा नीट वागावे - देव बघत असतो - अणि मोठे होउन अपन जरी पूजा करणे वगैरे सोडले असले तरी ती शिकवण कही पुसली जात नाही ना ...

तर शेवटी सांगायचे म्हंटले तर मलाही आदर्शवाद अवाड्तो पण तो शिवाजी राजे सारखा नको - तो आदर्शवाद नाही ती एक परिकथा आहे - आणि माझा आक्षेप आहे जर त्या परिकथेवर विश्वास ठेवून - जर कोणी काही गैर करत असेल तर त्याला - शेवट नेहमी गोड असावा ( मलाही दुखांत आवडत नाहीत) पण तरीही शेवट हा माधव आपटे (डोंबिवली फास्ट) सारखाच होतो (हो त्या सारखाच अजुन एक शेवट - रंग दे बसंती) -

कोणीही उगीच हिंसेच्या मार्गाने जाऊ नये - हिंसा शेवटी वाईट - कितीही कोणालाही नाही आवडले तरी मला गांधीजींचे अहिंसा आणि आत्मसंतुलानाचे तत्वज्ञान आवडते - आणि माझी खात्री आहे (परत आशावाद - आशा, इच्छा दुःखाचे मुळ) एक दिवस परत लोक अहिंसेच्या मार्गाने जातील अणि हिंसा सोडून आदर्श समाज निर्माण करतील (थोडेसे धन्यवाद राजकुमार हिरानी ला ही - लगे रहो मुन्नाभाई मधून - वेगळ्या नावाने का होइना पण गांधीजींच्या तत्वज्ञानाला पुनर्जन्म दिल्याबद्दल)

अरे हो अणि अजुन एक गोष्ट - मला इकडे राहून कळती आहे ती म्हणजे - मराठी मध्ये शिका - शिकवा ( आपल्या मात्रुभाषेमध्ये शिकवा) नाही अहो इकडे त्यांच्या सोई करता स्पेनिश, जर्मन अणि चीनी जापानी मध्येही पाट्या असतात हो - आणि भारतीय मात्र इंग्रजी मध्ये बोलतात - नाही हे मात्र मला नाही पटत - विषयांतर होतय पण हा लेख नंतर कधी तरी लिहिन जरुर.

आणि माझे लेख हे मी सर्वानी वाचावे म्हणुन इंग्रजीतून लिहितो आपले आक्षेप जरुर कळवा ... मंडळ आपले आभारी आहे .

Walking on the street ... after a concert

some thing abstract ... not from any paper but its a state of mind I think when you dont know what are you doing and finally you end up creating something and if its expressed in words or any visual form of art anybody can strive hard to find the meaning of if ....

yah ... it's also some kind of wiered introduction. you will thing this guy is complete mad now but as I stated in the intro this is a state of mind and I somewhat experienced it after concert of Alf Clausen. as you may know Alf is the man behind the music of The Simpsons.

So he was in our town for one concert and that was a good one ... i liked his music and as you see in the pic it was a mixed experience ... some from simpson and some really good Jazz ... though i am not a fan of Jazz i enjoyed it and after that walking on the road mind slipped in the all together different route ... may be the reason that i got time to think afte so many days .... yup .. i keep myself busy and normally dont give time to my mind to think anything that

's why you are receiving blog posts so scattered ...

oh but the main point was - i thought about relegion .. why we worship ... why do we need god .... and then suddenly politics .. history .. why should we learn history .. which history should be taught .. government hides things and shows things but there is noting reall ... you will always get half truth ... yah i am

Hi all,

This is rare in Fargo. Summer ... good temperature ... sun ... So we enjoyed Memorial day weekend. I am going to share some pics of Fargo Summer with you. Hope you will enjoy it ...
